The teacher you
faced in kindergarten helped you potty train, write your first letters in the
alphabet and helped you sing your heart out in order to remember yesterday’s “a
for apple” lesson before you proceed to “b for boy.” That teacher handled you
for a year, going through the same routine and look where you are. Seated
behind a large desk and an ipad on the office table, the latest iphone and
everything ‘i’ around you. You probably do not even remember who taught you how
to zip up (for the men) or button up (for the women).
You probably will never know what happened to that sweet woman (I do not know whether it is the motherly aspect of women ama it is the men’s impatience, which makes women best suited for this job) that taught you the basics of education. You never will. Not to worry, I also do not remember her name but I remember the school because I recently saw the nursery’s school bus in town. Hata nursery zilipanda bei. Far from that, why did I paint the nursery school teacher today?

Because of the Holy
Spirit. Until the day that the work of God is done, under His stewardship, the
Holy Spirit is a companion to those who desire Him. He is a person and that is
why He takes on the pronoun ‘He.’ The fact that you cannot see Him does not
mean He is not there. As we speak, He is breathing inside of you. Job says The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the
Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4). Genesis says in chapter 1 verse 2 that, Now the earth was formless and empty,
darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering
over the waters. The Spirit of God comes to teach. He is a Teacher and a Counselor.
Look. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of
everything I have said to you.(Jn14:26) A teacher with feelings. Check this out. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our
weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself
intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (Rom8:26)
When the Holy Spirit is teaching you,
counseling you, consoling and comforting you, He is glorifying God. That was
the essence of receiving Him. To date, the Holy Spirit is still at work and
every person will know Jesus Christ. They will hear of Jesus Christ. In our
nation, so many people know about Christ. They even profess Him. However, very
few, I insist very few, know Him. Fewer people possess Him. Those who know and
possess Christ have allowed the Holy Spirit to lead them. So many songs,
sermons, preachers say “Lord, Lord” but do they know who this Lord is? No! Even
an unbeliever today can discern what is of God and what is not. If you know in
your heart that whatever you are doing right now does not glorify God, STOP! I will
tell you in all aspects I can that if it does not glorify the Holy of Holies
then you are walking a dangerous road to hell. From the beatitudes, we know
that no sin shall enter heaven. It is either you are holy or you are holy. Why
am I taking a strict stand on this? It is because people are taking the gift of
salvation for granted. That you want to do as you please and be tolerated. And
be included in church. Yes, the church is not a museum for good people. I agree
it is a hospital for the broken but it is time that people healed and grew up!
Wow, am harsh! I am even surprised at myself but here is the point.
When you do not know the truth. When you have
questions about where to go to church, what course to take and what to do, ask
the Holy Spirit. There is only One Teacher who will never tell you a lie, who
will never leave you and who will never misguide you, the Holy Ghost. He is
Holy as His name. He cannot condone sin. He will teach you the way you should
go. What you have to do is not only show willingness but be obedient. When He
tells you to stop something, obey and obey quickly. Do not harden your neck. Do not quench the spirit. (1Thess 5:19)
and lastly, Eph 4:30 says, and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Courtesy of Charles
